I feel a new pair of slippers coming on...

I went to the local salvation army op shop

{the australian name for a charity shop}

 and found a great pure wool blanket.....

now my sister has done tons of felting and I thought,

'ok let's have a go, how hard can this be.....'

so here I am $2.50 poorer 

{about one british pound at todays exchange rate}

 and a whole blanket of felt later....

 I am going to try and make a pair of slippers, 

not that I need them just at the moment because we are going into summer here,

 but maybe by the time we get to winter I will have worked out how to make 

a serviceable pair that will see me through the cold winter days here in ballarat.....
