a little bit of Robert Burns......

a couple of weeks ago i spent a lovely few hours

creating a couple of pictures with a vintage poetry book 

and some old sheet music...... you can see the results here.......

 today i decided to make another one......

this time using the poem 'A Red, Red Rose'

by Robert {or as i knew him* when i was

growing up in scotland, Rabbie} Burns.....

{*obviously, when i say that 'i knew him' i am not talking about

a 'personal' friendship which we shared as he died over 200 years ago..... 

no, i merely remember learning his poetry for recitation and visiting 

his little cottage when i was a youngster growing up in scotland......}

i love that the word 'bonnie' is used in this piece,

a word not used nearly enough these days i think......
