me and my girl........

evie and i have been whipping up a storm here at the asylum......

she was desperate to have a go at making a 'doggie keyring'

and so she picked out her felt and gave the ol' free machining a go......

good on 'er i say...... 

it took me about 40 years before i would have a go a free machining...... 

gotta start them young i reckon......

{she's also started making weeny little fabric dolls complete with

accessories and clothes........

she's going to name them all and they are going to be

the pilgrims who sailed on the mayflower to america.......

she's only completed one so far, so she has a way to go

before the ship can set sail.......

still, her efforts are valliant and the results are precious......}

i wanted to have a go at making a bag i had seen here.......

and i whipped up the handbag version.......

i added a couple of 'extra touches'....... 

a couple of vintage buttons on the outside......

a little 'clippy-do-dad' on the inside......

and a magnetic clasp for good measure.......

i did actually make up the shoulder bag version too but don't have a photo to share...... 

it's a great size...... perfect for your netbook....... or your knitting.......

or a sneaky bit of shopping......

or whatever takes your fancy really.......

i think i like the shoulder bag best....... it's got lots of room you see.......

and i like a bag with lots of room.......
