gifts of love......

I kept these photos back until after Christmas

as I didn't want to spoil any surprises......

the children love giving gifts and, over the years

I have encouraged them to handmake the gifts

they give, as I truly believe that the best gifts

are the handmade ones.....

 this year they both decided on edible gifts to

give to their family and so, a couple of days before

Christmas, my kitchen was taken over by

my two lovelies and the delightful smells and

creativity began.....

isaac decided that he was going to make

bottles of ginger syrup....

ooooohhhh, the smell this created while it

was being made was just divine and he did

such a lovely job, making tags to hang from

every bottle as a finishing touch......

evie went with the biscuit option and made

greek almond cookies....

again, the smell was just lovely as she baked

these yummy treats.....

it was a joy to watch them busily working

away in the kitchen by themselves, 

taking their time to create something

scrumptious which they could gift with love....
