there have been a couple of requests for the pattern for the
crocheted roses i made a couple of years ago for the
homeschoolers mini-market........
here we go then..... no photos i'm afraid so you'll need
to understand 'crochet speak' to follow along i reckon.....
you need to leave a 30cm tail of yarn to start with
and then you chain 45......
1 treble (double in the U.S.) in the 4th chain from hook
* chain 2
2 trebles into the same stitch
chain 1
skip two chain in the foundation row
2 treble into the next stitch *
continue pattern between the asterisks to the end of the row
turn and chain 2
6 trebles into the first 2 chain space
* 1 treble into next 1 chain space
7 trebles into next 2 chain space *
continue pattern between the asterisks to the end of the row and fasten off
all you need to do now is roll the flower and use the 30 cm tail of yarn
to stitch the rose together as you go.......
i attached hair slides and brooch pins to the back of these roses and
they work equally well in the hair or worn on clothes or pinned to
bags......
i have never attempted to write out a pattern before and this one
is not exactly complicated but i have no idea if it will be
follow-able either.....
please let me know if it is complete
gobble-de-gook and i'll see if i can make it clearer....
there are probably lots of tutorials out there, written by far more experienced
crocheters than i which include lots of useful photos,
so it may be that you will look at my 'pattern'
{that sounds a bit too grand for a couple of lines of instructions},
roll your eyes in a 'knowing' kind of way
and move on to an easier to understand pattern......
however, it you can make sense of what i have written then fab
{i would love to see what you have made if you want to leave me a link......}
happy hooking.......
