a spot of yummy.........

good morning from sunny somerset

{well, it's sunny at the moment but the dreary weather

forecast tells me it will be a little 'wet' soon......

I choose to ignore the dreary weather forecast

and instead bask in the loveliest of warm sunshine}....

I've been a-baking and thought I would share with you

one of my latest yummy finds........

this is cinnamon roll cake and I pinned it onto my pintrest board  

'scrum-diddly-umptious' a few weeks ago with the intention

to make it IMMEDIATELY.....

I promptly forgot about it.......

{do you ever do that?  bookmark or pin something and then

forget to go back to it?  I do it all the time........ maybe it's

something to do with 'my age', just like my shoulder as the nurse

so helpfully pointed out.......}

anyway it popped back into my head recently and I thought

I better give it a whirl to see if it tasted as scrummy as it looked.....

here it is, fresh from the oven, all lathered with icing........

and here you can see its 'innards'........

oh, it is a rather more-ish cake.......

moist and cinnamon-y......

best eaten whilst still warm from the oven.....

{maybe with a generous blob of clotted cream next time......
ooooohhhhhhh, now that sounds extra yummy}

the kids LOVED it and begged me to make it again......

Brian even gave it the thumbs up which, for a man who usually

prefers a savoury bite to eat, is saying something......
