There are a few in my life right now..... not belonging to me of course..... I live by the maxim that once you have more kids than hands you're on a sticky wicket and as I already have two of each (hands and kids) I'm all set..... but oh, I do love it when people around me have babies that I can coo over!
Yesterday I was all ready with a couple of ideas for little gifts to make them so I plugged in the sewing machine and cleared off the 'school' table...
Up first was a pair of booties.....
I used the basic sole pattern from the booties I found in this lovely book - seriously, if you have 0-5 year old kids or know some that you would sew for, then this book is a winner for cute patterns.... love it!
Then, taking inspiration from this talented etsy maker & seller, I modified the upper and put the two patterns together.
My first baby booties for my great neice!
