if at first you don't succeed.....

over the past couple of weeks I've been trying to get inspired....

it's a process that I am not having much success in.....

I have however decided that I want to crochet another blanket to keep granny stripe company.....

I've been looking and trying and ripping out and thinking and 

googling and playing and trying again and on and on and on.....

I wanted to make a blanket out of squares this time

but after all that looking and playing nothing gripped me....

then I decided to try hexagons and saw something I quite liked in a picture 

(but with no pattern) so I decided to try and make it up as I went along.....

I'm liking these...... 

 I think I may be on to something here.......
