and so it continues.......

this past week has been filled 

with lots of......

'free machine stitiching'......

very 'free' in an

'all-over-the-place'

and a 'not-knowing-what-I-am-doing'

and a 'why-is-the-fabric-puckering-up-so-much'

kind of way.......

half way through this project,

or more specifically, after the word

'happy' had been stitched

in a 'not-too-happy' fashion,

my dearest sister gave me some very

wonderful words of wisdom including

words such as 'stabiliser' and

'vyleen'......

they were helpful words dearest Dottie

and things took an upward

turn after that phone call......

and so we had 

'birthday bunting debut'......

it was declared 'fantastic'.......

baking.....

with very specific instructions.......

red velvet cake in a heart shape...... check

red icing on top....... check

silver balls all round the red icing top....... check

happy birthday written on in white icing...... check

phew.......

 

painting a 'special' plate......

so that the person whose special day it is

gets to use it and revel in their specialness......

and, of course, a special plate needs a special

morning tea treat.....

lemon slice was requested and 

lemon slice was delivered......

all for this beautiful girl on her 10th birthday......

what a delight she is......
