I don't think I've done a foodie post in quite some time,
so I think it's about time to put that straight and indulge
in little ramble about my joint-first favourite subject......
first up..... cinnamon scrolls.....yum, yum......
now I have made these in their 'bread' form before......
lots of patience is needed to make them if you do it that way.....
all that rising and resting......
however, I used this recipe from one crafty mama recently and it is
more like a scone type mix that you make into a roll, slice and bake......
quite delicious....... and fast too.....
essential for that 'I-need-something-sweet-and-quick' urge that
sometimes overtakes you......
{does it overtake you? it overtakes me all the time}....
they did indeed have lots of sweet and sticky icing on top.....
I just didn't manage to get a photo of that before we scoffed them all......
I also love to have banana and peanut butter as a snack too........
and I made sure I brought home a good supply of this stuff from our recent holiday....
it is my favourite after all.....
{apple and peanut butter works for me too}.....
and finally, in a bout of nostalgia, I made these......
1970's party food that were one of my favourites when I was a kid.....
just melted chocolate with a mashmallow plopped on top....
I can just see in my mind all those brown and orange floral dresses at my
fifth birthday party as we noshed on these little beauties......
hope you have a happy weekend.....
