week seven......

ooooohhhhh, it's getting near the end now......

just over one more week to go and our summer holidays

will be a thing of the past.....

we always wait until after Isaac's birthday before we 'hit the books' 

{as his special day happens to be near the beginning of september}.....

but I shan't dwell on the end yet..... no I won't.....

I will enjoy the next 10 days or so and continue to kick up my heels 

for just a little bit longer.....

so what have I been up to this week.....

well, after arriving home from those beautiful yorkshire dales

I quickly reaquainted myself with little apple, who hadn't joined us for our

jaunt up north, and we spent a few happy hours blog browsing 

whilst I kept my derriere firmly planted in bed with my pj's on......

it was a happy experience to tell you the truth and one I wish to

repeat again...... soonish.......

having merrily played with little apple for a while I thought that 

a special place, a safe little padded pocket if you will,  

was needed for her to spend her quiet time in and so I dared

to cut into a piece of fabric which has been in my possession

for almost 3 years......

yes indeed, 3 years.......

my sister sent this panel of kokka fabric to me when 

we were living in the land down under.......

and I just haven't been able to 

bring myself to cut into it's delightfulness......

nothing seemed to quite deserve to be clothed in its loveliness.....

until little apple entered the scene.......

and straight away I knew that this special piece was meant

to protect my little apple.....

so I cut it in half......

and I can tell you, I held my breath whilst I whipped out

that rotary cutter and cutting mat,

oh yes, I did......

I was fearful that I would cut it too small and waste it......

I was worried that it just wouldn't work out and that I would spoil it....

boy, oh boy..... I need to relax a bit don't I......

anyway I measured and cut and stitched and unpicked 

and stitched again {and unpicked and stitched again.......}

and then, ta dah, it was finished......

and I still have the top half of this piece of fabric to use for

something else......

{I'm sure it won't take me another 3 years to decide what that will be.....

will it?.......}

{this week also contained a double root canal filling for moi
and an exploding computer battery complete with indoor fireworks,
which did make rather a mess of our lounge room and sent us all into a
bit of a tizzy........
but hey ho, let's not dwell on those things though.....
not when there is lovely fabric and little apples to enjoy......}
