There's a new love in my life.....

remember a couple of weeks ago I posted this? Well I've been smitten by the crochet bug! I've been eyeing this bag for a long time now, ruing the fact that I couldn't crochet..... well, a couple of nights ago I decided that if I could master a granny square I could finally have a go at the bag.....

And here it is..... so far!!


In fact there are now quite a few more rows to it as the weather was so divinely warm and sunny today that I had to sit out on the deck for a bit longer than I had originally planned. THEN, because this is fresh, young love, I took my wool bag with me to school to do a few 'trebles' while I waited for the children to come out of class!

I don't know how long this project will take me as I still have to keep an eye on what I am doing and counting my stitches quite regularly but I'm smitten by hooky love so I'm happy to stick with it!!
