A bit of a monkey puzzle....

the knitting I was referring to in this post is now finished and ready to share..... here he is enjoying the sun on the 'banana lounger' in the back garden!

And now with the shades...... how cool is he?

I have to say that I knitted this PG tips monkey on the wrong size needles and he ended up being about twice the size he should have been and believe me when I say that it was a bit of a puzzle to put him together! I started knitting the t-shirt that he should wear as per the instructions but because I had knitted him the wrong size in the first place there was no way that the t-shirt was going to fit (and since I am not really a knitter I had no idea how to adjust the pattern) so I gave up and bought him a baby t-shirt which Evie thought was just great. Infact, I bought him two little t-shirts - the one he has on is for the day time and the other one (a little plain blue number) is for bedtime, so I am told! Evie was over the moon to receive him and has aptly called him Albert!

If you fancy a little monkey puzzle knitting project of your own you can find the pattern here

. I am going to knit him a couple of 'little ones' to keep him company, but will make sure I knit them on the right size needles otherwise we will feel as if we have been taken over by primates!
