it's been a pootling kind of week....

no big achievements.... 

infact I've made a few backward steps.....

but that's ok.... 

nothing that a little more hookie won't fix....

you see my blanket was progressing really nicely, but I was bothered...... 

bothered, bothered, bothered....

I kept looking at my hexie blanket and squinting to see if the colour choice was acceptable 

and indeed, I found it was not....... 

but what was it that was bothering me in such a bothersome way I asked myself?.....

well, it was the jolly great mustard yellow/golden/newborn baby poo 

{yes, one of my friends did call it baby poo colour.....}

edged hexie..... 

I was not liking it - no, not ONE LITTLE BIT.....

see it..... 

right there on the top row..... 

with a red one not too far along the row with the same offending colour in it....

by the time I had made my final decision that it had to go it was surrounded 

by other hexies but I carried on unpreturbed and found that I could rip it out easily enough.....

but that is not all, oh no, that is not all....... 

the other hexies with the dreaded mustard yellow/golden/baby poo

colour in them caught my eye in an irritating way now..... 

so I proceeded to take every hexie out that had the offending colour in it....... 

now that only amounted to about 4 or 5 hexigons but still, 

my blanket shrank there for a little while......

but now it is 'on the up' again.... 

onwards and upwards......

with no baby poo in sight......
