but my baby just keeps on amazing me.....
she is such a sweet girl...... lovely inside and out.....
and I can't help but smile whenever my eyes or my thoughts turn towards her.....
today she had a 'special' embroiderers guild meeting where all the girls
were going to make either a skirt or a bag.....
it was a whole day affair, with lunch in the middle....
she got to take my sewing machine with her {which made her feel VERY grown up}
and she got to pick her own fabric..... whatever she wanted.....
and I didn't try to persuade or lead her in her choice AT ALL,
I left it entirely up to her.....
which was VERY restrained of me it has to be said......
she chose a lovely bright red and white polkadot fabric from a whole new range they had at Spotlight......
I couldn't think of a nicer fabric for her to use for her skirt {phew}.....
home we trotted from Spotlight to wash and dry the fabric so it would be ready for the sew-a-thon.....
I dropped her off this morning, bright eyed and bushy tailed and left her to it.....
on my return I found she had 'whipped up' a beautiful skirt that suits her perfectly.....
perfect for playing in the garden.....
with two patch pockets......
perfect for putting treasures in......
even bouncing is a whole lot brighter when you have a red polkadot skirt on don't you think?......
maybe she'll make one for me if I ask.......

darling Sweet E, you are a wonder. I could not have even imagined using a sewing machine at your age. You should be very proud of yourself!
