making me feel warm and fuzzy.....

literally....... today's project HAS certainly kept me warm and fuzzy......

who knew that felted jumpers could create SO MUCH fuzz?...... it's EVERYWHERE..... I will need to remove some of it, particularly from my poor sewing machine....... then maybe I should do something about all the fuzz on the kids school books which I didn't remove from the table before I charged headlong into this project......

my square obsession went from this......

to this.......

not enjoying all those little grey and cream squares in one area..... will have to do something about that.....

to this....... {see, I changed round the 'grey & cream overload in one corner' & made it much more 'balanced'...... makes me feel heaps better!}

{finished size is approximately 140cm x 110 cm}

and now, because I went to Spotlight and got some nice warm fleecy backing, I am able to do this.....

blanket stitch is always a rather nice edging for a blanket I think......

this was a fab and quick project..... 3 woolen jumpers, felted in the washing machine, cut into squares and rectangles all with dimensions which were multiples of 3 inches and stitched together...... the slowest bit of the project was figuring out the placement of the squares so that same colour squares didn't butt against one another..... I managed with only one butt (lol).......

evie has been doing some secret sewing and learning lots along the way....

yippee for another quiet 'at home' day.......
