Last night she made dessert..... a rather scrumptious apple and cinnamon upside-down cake and today, as we were going to have lunch with some friends, she made Easter biscuits to take along as a little gift/treat.
She used the BBC recipe that we found here and they turned out beautifully - we just omitted the candied peel in ours. I usually associate Easter biscuits with hard, crunchy, rather over done bullets.... I mean currants..... but these were really rather yummy.
We packaged them up in 'cello' wrap made by Hallmark - which I discovered, by reading the blurb on the back, is not made from plastic but is a natural paper which is biodegradable and enviromentally friendly! Don't think that applies to ALL cello wrap of course but this definitely 'felt' different but did the same job.
Wonders will never cease.....
