My darling Evie came home from her monthly embroiderers guild meet yesterday and, before rushing out the door to have a sleepover at her friends house she told me, very sternly, not to look in her sewing bag, 'because there is a surprise in it'!
Tonight at the dinner table she told me that they had been 'talking' about mothers day yesterday at the guild meeting (mothers day is in two weeks time here in Australia) and she asked me, just to be on the safe side, if I had looked in her sewing bag!
'Of course not, you told me not to' I said!
She is not very good at keeping things very hush, hush.... she loves to drop the biggest hints ever!
But she is the sweetest gift giver and most times will handmake something for me because she knows I treasure the handmade stuff.....
Well, I shall share the BIG SECRET with you all in a couple of weeks....
but until then, we had a little trip to Spotlight yesterday to buy some 'supplies' for another little project she has in mind....
this one will be sent across the sea and she is very excited about getting on with it......
good job it's a holiday day tomorrow so we can stay in our jammies all day and crack on with some sewing!
