skippety, skip.........

I did you know......
right there in the newsagents......
and I think there may have been a little jump involved too.......
and a lot of smiling.......

for quite some time now I have been seeing little mentions about a new magazine called 'mollie makes' and was thinking how much I would like to get my little mitts on a copy to see what it was like.......

yesterday I found a copy and I brought it home to be my very own......
{I did hand over some money for it, I didn't just knick it off the shelves......}

it comes with a little free gift on the front......
and you know, I love those little free gifts......
they remind me of the free gifts you used to get in packets of cereal when you were a kid.......
I don't think they do that anymore....... what a shame........
it used to cause arguments in our house, but still it was so exciting when it was
your turn to 'get the gift' and you had to rummage all through the pack to retrieve the little treat........
happy days.......

and on the front is a lovely photo of some yummy looking apples with little jackets on........
I know I would never use an apple jacket, but I just love the look of them.......
I might crochet a few and pop them on the apples in the fruit bowl just for the
joy of seeing them all dressed up........
in different colours.......
with a swish little button.........
it's all about the aesthetic......

there were a couple of pages that immediately caught my eye......
dottie angel is a blog that I like to read.......
just so very lovely  to see such sweet vintage granny-ness........

and there are LOTS more pages with LOTS more scrumptious photos waiting for me to peruse.....

this weekend is a holiday weekend here in the land of oz
{or at least where I live it is},
so I shall make sure I have plenty of coffee in,
a batch of these in the oven,
my knitting/crochet by my side
and my magazine in my hand........

{I obviously won't be able to have the knitting/crocheting and the magazine in my hands at the same time......
I would need an extra set of hands to do that.......
I'll have to divvy up my time accordingly.......}

but oooooohhhhhhh, it will be a good weekend me thinks......
