I wanted a crocheted cardi and, as the winter is fast approaching, thought this would kill two birds with one stone...... give me a crocheting project for the evenings AND give me something warm to put on my chilly bones....
"I'll make it up as I go along" I thought...... ha, right!!!
I did make it up and I did finish a cardi (of sorts) but I didn't even take a picture...... you see, I didn't like it....
Didn't like the fit...... it reminded me of something your granny would wear (just a saying there, not really trying to be rude to any grannies!).....
So I spent a cathartic half hour ripping it all out......
So, what to do with all the cotton-y yarn goodness sitting in my oh-so-lovely crocheted project bag.....
Here's what I found.....
Now seriously...... am I supposed to be able to understand this??
I'm new to this whole crocheting game so it all looks a bit like jibberish to me.
However, I am going to give it a go (I've ripped out row 2 three times already!) because when it is finished it should look something like this (pattern can be found by following links from here).....

And I think it is pretty nice...
However...... and this is the BIG sticking point, I have to work out what all this...
means first...... ha, ha
Maybe it'll be ready for next winter..... or thereabouts...... wish me luck, I'm going to need it!
