it takes all sorts......

unrelated to the reason for this post, I just wanted you to know that I did indeed finish a second wristwarmer for evie......
so you're not to worry about her wandering round this winter with one warm wrist and one cold wrist.....

but to get on with this the real reason for this post.....

I realise that evie and I hog the limelight on this blog.....
we're the ones who do most of the 'creative stuff' around here.......
however, I love to celebrate the fact that creativeness has many forms and my boy just
LOVES to create in his own way, with his own medium......
most often the medium of LEGO.......

auntie dottie sent him this book recently and seriously, he has not spent SO much time with his nose in one book, making exclaiming noises and then racing off to his room to make something else up, in a loooooonnnnnnggggg time.......

here is the result of one such manic making session.......

it's an unnamed machine that keeps being added to with more move-y bits and bobs
and each day we get a blow-by-blow account of its new functions and those additional move-y bits......

he now wants a motor to make it 'whirr and clunk' all by itself....

diversity in creativeness is just great, isn't it?......

Good on him!! I think we often forget about crafting in different ways. My man often laments the fact he's not crafty, but I remind him that (especially being a chef in his past) he creates daily with the meals he makes - mixing flavours, presenting meals on plates... Crafting is really a multi-faceted realm, isn't it??
