matryoshka nesting dolls....

this is a great little 'sitting-in-front-of-the-telly' project 

which was fun to do and produced a really sweet set of dolls

that evie has bagged already.....

I found the pattern here.....

I added some beads to mine, which is OK as evie is 7, but you could

 make these for a little one and just use embroidery stitches to decorate it.....

I used a detached chain stitch to make the little flowers on the pockets

 and buttonhole stitch round all the joining seams.....

 {I thought this was blanket stitch....

 can anyone tell me the difference....

 I am a complete embroidery stitch novice}

these were quick and easy and a real little girl pleaser.....
